The Crown and Sandys ( pronounced Sands ) is derived from the link between King Charles l and his son Charles ll and the Sandys family during the civil wars of 1645-57.The coaching inn underwent considerable alteration around 1810 when the Marchioness of Downshire Baroness Sandys carried out extensive re building improvements on the village of Ombersley. The Crown and Sandys welcomes you with a mixture of old and new offering 5 dining areas to choose from depending on your mood. M5 South - Junction 5 - signs to A449 Worcester then take signs to OmbersleyOnce in Ombersley take left exit at small island we are the last large black and white building on the left M5 North - Junction 6 take exit A449 to Kiddiminster straight across next roundabout . From A449 take slip road signposted Omberlsey we are on the right hand side as you enter the village
